Claros Technologies announced it has successfully raised $10 million through a convertible note to accelerate the deployment of its PFAS destruction technology. The funding will support the expansion of ClarosTechUV™, a system designed to destroy PFAS in high-flow wastewater streams at an industrial scale.

This investment comes at a crucial time, as global regulations tighten around PFAS contamination, increasing compliance requirements for industries. Legal actions against PFAS manufacturers are also rising, creating a demand for permanent and effective clean-up solutions.

Demand for Claros’ innovative solutions is growing across North America, Europe, and Asia, driven by urgent environmental and regulatory needs.

Supported by existing investors such as Capita3, the University of Minnesota, and new strategic partners, the funding diversification strengthens the company’s position.

Michelle Bellanca, CEO of Claros, highlighted recent milestones: “Our pilot with Daikin achieved 99.99% PFAS destruction at high flow rates, demonstrating effectiveness.”  She added, “This pilot proved we can destroy all PFAS species efficiently, offering a scalable and affordable solution.”

Bellanca emphasized that increasing regulatory pressure makes Claros’ technology critical for industries seeking compliance and environmental safety.

Steve Sefton, Chairman of Clearwater Equity, praised Claros’ innovative approach: “Their technology destroys PFAS at the source, preventing environmental contamination and legal liabilities.”

Kathy Tune from Capita3 expressed enthusiasm: “Our support reflects confidence in Claros’ ability to deliver scalable solutions that benefit both industry and environment.” She noted that Claros offers a cost-effective, permanent solution to PFAS pollution, helping industries meet evolving legal standards.

Since its inception, Claros has raised $39 million, including grants and early-stage investments, to fund growth and global expansion efforts. The new funds will enable the company to scale operations, launch pilot programs worldwide, and accelerate adoption across multiple industries.
