30% INVESTMENT TAX CREDIT (ITC)

In a stunning reversal of policy, the federal government extended the solar tax credit for two years, as part of the Investment Recovery Act.
The Federal Investment Tax Credit for solar energy will remain at 30% for all solar installs that become operational on or before 12-31-2032.
The Investment Tax Credit is a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit for solar energy system and/or battery storage system install on residential or commercial properties. Ghe ITC is also valid for heat pump water ehaters and EV chargers.
WHO IS IT FOR? The 30% federal tax credit is available to any homeowner in the United States who installs a qualifying energy eficient system by December 31, 2032.* The 30% federal tax credit also extends to commercial buildings as well.

• Empower EV Program is offering up to a $2,500 rebate on a Level 2 EV charger installation. PG&E will cover the cost of up to $500 for one Level 2 charger, and up to $2,000 for panel upgrades that may be necessary. To qualify, the customer must live in a single-family household who have recently purchased an EV within six months, and meet income eligibility:
- Customer must verify income eligibility (within 400% of the federal poverty level):
- $51,040 for a one-person household
- $68,960 for a two-person household
- $86,880 for a three-person household

Example: Tesla Powerwall costs about $21,995 to purchase the equipment and install. A homeowner is in a Tier 2 fire zone and on medical baseline billing structure receives $13,500 rebate, reducing the project cost to $8,495, LESS 30% tax credit… FINAL COST is $5,945. Plant-A-Tree 2030 Effort: 10,000 Trees Planted.
For every energy system we install, Solarponics is planting a tree on our customer’s behalf. We have chosen to work thru One Tree Planted.org for this effort. Our initial goal was to plant 1,000 trees. When we say “plant”, we mean we donate the funds to cover the cost to plant one tree. One Tree Planted does the actual planting. We reached our goal on November 12, 2022. On Dec. 31, 2023, you have helped plant over 2,400 tree in California and the U.S. Now we’re going big. Our new goal is 10,000 trees planted in our nations forests by 2030.
