A mesoporous In2O3 nanoflower catalyst with abundant oxygen vacancies is constructed via calcining In2S3, which can selectively reduce CO2 to HCOO−/HCOOH in both alkaline and acidic electrolytes at 200 mA cm−2 with a FEformate/formate acid of ∼90%.
