Stay Under the Published Limit
Count your gear and your bag when you compare your load to a max load number, and do not ride over it. Wear a helmet, keep the tires at the pressure printed on the sidewall and leave extra room to stop. Several of these scooters exceed 30 mph, so check your local speed and licensing rules before you ride on the street.
Best Electric Scooters for Heavy Adults: Quick Picks
Heavy-Duty Electric Scooters Compared: Max Load, Motor Power, Weight and Battery
Max load is the brand’s published limit for rider and cargo together, taken from the brand’s own site and never rounded up. Motor power is the figure each brand publishes, so some rows show peak watts and some show rated watts per motor. Weight is the scooter itself. We checked every price against the store our link opens in October 2026.
Which Scooter for Your Weight: 200, 250, 300 and 330 lb+
Start with total load. That means you, your clothes and shoes, a helmet, a backpack and anything hanging from the bars. A rider who weighs 250 lb at home is often a 265 lb load on the deck. Use that number in the ranges below.
Around 200 lb. In practice every scooter here has plenty of headroom. A 200 lb load is 67 percent of the 300 lb Gotrax limit and 61 percent of a 330 lb rating, so pick on price and use. The VMAX VX2 Extreme is the budget choice, the NAVEE XT5 Pro scored 9.7 with a 200 lb tester on board, and the Gotrax GX2 is the least expensive way into two motors.
Around 250 lb. This is where motor power starts to matter as much as the rating. A 250 lb load is 83 percent of a 300 lb limit and 76 percent of a 330 lb limit. For hills we would take two motors, which means the Segway GT3 Pro, the Inmotion RS Jet or the Gotrax GX3. For flat commutes, the VMAX New VX4 and the Segway GT3 are single motor scooters rated for 330 lb.
Around 300 lb. Skip the two Gotrax scooters, because a 300 lb load sits right at their limit with no room for a bag. Look at the 330 lb group and above. The Segway GT3 Pro is our pick, and the Inmotion RS Jet costs less with the same rating. The Hiley Tiger King RS is rated for 350 lb, which puts a 300 lb load at 86 percent of its limit.
330 lb and up. Only two picks are rated above 330 lb. The Hiley Tiger King RS is rated for 350 lb, the highest number on a standing scooter here. The seated EMOVE RoadRunner Pro V2 is rated for a 352 lb rider load. Voro Motors calls 352 lb the ideal figure and lists up to 420 lb as the ceiling. If your total load is above those numbers, we do not have a scooter to recommend, and we would not ride any of these past the published limit.
What a Payload Rating Really Means
A payload rating is the most weight the maker says the scooter should carry. It covers the rider plus everything the rider brings. Brands use different names for it. Segway and VMAX call it max payload, NAVEE says max load, Gotrax says total weight limit and Voro Motors lists a max rider weight. All of them mean the total weight on the deck.
On paper the rating is a limit and nothing more. Range claims are measured with much lighter riders. Segway and VMAX test with a 165 lb load, and Hiley’s range figure comes from a 150 lb rider at 15 mph in Eco mode. Voro Motors now calculates its numbers for a 200 lb rider and says heavier riders should expect less speed and less range. Our own range runs use riders between 190 and 220 lb at real traffic speeds, which is why our numbers land well under the claims.
Braking and hill speed change too. More mass takes more distance to stop, so leave a longer gap than you think you need, and favor hydraulic disc brakes if you ride near the limit. On climbs, a single motor scooter slows down first. Two motors share the work, which is why most of our picks for loads over 250 lb are dual motor. Suspension also sits lower under a heavy load, so add preload where the scooter allows it and keep the tires at the top of the pressure range printed on the sidewall.
We would not ride over the rating. The frame, the stem latch and the axles are built around that number. We would rather see you buy the higher rating and use two thirds of it.
The 10 Best Electric Scooters for Heavy Adults in Detail
Rank 1 is our overall pick. After that, each scooter wins a specific job. The label on each card says whether we tested it or researched it, and the first spec on every card is the brand’s max load.
Best overall:Segway GT3 Pro
Check latest price →Direct from Segway
The GT3 Pro is the scooter we would hand to a heavy rider who wants one machine for everything. Segway rates it for a 330 lb payload. Two hub motors make 1,700W each and peak at 3,500W each, for 7,000W combined. That is the highest published peak figure on a standing scooter in this guide. That reserve is what a 250 or 300 lb load needs on a hill.
We have tested it. In our review it ran roughly 45 miles on a charge with a 190 lb rider, reached a top speed just under 50 mph and got to 30 mph in about 4 seconds. Segway’s own range figures are 86 miles in Eco, 45 in Sport and 34 in Race, measured with a 165 lb load in single motor mode. The 72V battery holds 2,160 Wh. The hydraulic suspension is adjustable at the front, and the hydraulic disc brakes use dual piston calipers.
All of that comes with weight. The GT3 Pro is 117 lb, so it is a ground floor scooter, not one you carry up stairs. It is rated IPX6, it rolls on 11 inch self-sealing tubeless tires, and Segway lists a rider height range of 5 ft 3 in to 6 ft 6 in. Our review is an earlier one without an RG score, which is why the label says Tested and stops there. Segway does not ship it to New York State because of its top speed.
Why we like it
- ✓ 330 lb max payload
- ✓ 7,000W peak, two motors
- ✓ About 45 mi in our test
- ✓ 2,160 Wh battery
- ✓ Hydraulic suspension
Keep in mind
- − 117 lb
- − No RG score yet

Best single motor:Segway GT3
Check latest price →Direct from Segway
The GT3 is the single motor scooter in Segway’s GT3 line, and its payload rating is the same 330 lb as the Pro. The rear hub makes 1,200W and peaks at 2,400W, the battery is 899 Wh, and the scooter weighs 87.1 lb. That is 30 lb less than the GT3 Pro.
On paper it is a strong fit for a heavy rider on flatter ground. It has hydraulic suspension at both ends, disc brakes front and rear, 11 inch self-sealing tubeless tires and 7.2 inches of ground clearance. Segway rates it for 31 mph, a 30 percent slope and IPX6, with a rider height range of 5 ft 3 in to 6 ft 6 in.
We would read the range figures with care. Segway claims 45 miles in Eco and 25 miles in Sport or Race, measured with a 165 lb load. A 300 lb load will get less, and we cannot tell you how much less, because we have not tested this scooter. Everything on this card comes from Segway’s spec sheet. If your rides include long or steep hills, the two motors on the GT3 Pro or the Inmotion RS Jet are the safer bet.
Why we like it
- ✓ 330 lb max payload
- ✓ 2,400W peak motor

- ✓ 30 lb lighter than Pro
- ✓ IPX6
Keep in mind
- − Not tested by us

- Water rating:IPX6
Best mid-price dual:Gotrax GX3
Check latest price →Direct from Gotrax
The GX3 is the dual motor scooter for riders who want real power without paying for a 72V system. Gotrax gives it a 300 lb total weight limit, which is the lowest rating in this guide along with the GX2. That makes it a fit for loads up to about 250 lb and a poor fit at 300.
We tested it for our review. It reached 37.9 mph against a 38 mph claim and went 28.8 miles on a charge, a little under half of the 60 miles Gotrax advertises. Two 1,000W motors do the work, and the chassis has four adjustable hydraulic shocks, hydraulic disc brakes and 11 by 3 inch tires with a hybrid tread.
Gotrax’s current listing shows a 54V 25Ah battery, which is 1,350 Wh, and a weight of 94 lb. Our review unit was listed at 88 lb with a smaller pack, so the spec has changed since we rode it. It comes with a two year warranty, and the Blue and Green versions were in stock on October 12.
Why we like it
- ✓ Two 1,000W motors
- ✓ 37.9 mph in our test
- ✓ Four hydraulic shocks
- ✓ 1,350 Wh battery
- ✓ 2 year warranty
Keep in mind
- − 300 lb total limit
- − 94 lb
Key specs
- Max load:300 lb total
- Motors:2 x 1,000W

- Weight:94 lb
- Tires:11 x 3 in
Best 72V value:Inmotion RS Jet
Check latest price →Sold by Voro Motors
The RS Jet is the least expensive 72V scooter here, and it carries the same 330 lb rating as scooters that cost far more. Two motors make 1,200W each and peak at 2,300W each. In our review it reached a real-world 48.5 mph.
For a heavy rider the appeal is headroom. With 4,600W of combined peak power, the RS Jet is well ahead of every single motor scooter on this list. It adds hydraulic suspension, full hydraulic brakes on 160 mm rotors and a deck height you can adjust. Inmotion lists it at 102 lb with an IP56 body. Voro Motors, the US seller our link opens, lists 90 lb, so plan for the higher number. Inmotion claims 62 miles of range, and Voro lists up to 56 miles and says its figures are calculated for a 200 lb rider.
Our review found the folding mechanism finicky, and riders over 6 ft 2 in may want a taller stem. The battery is 72V and 1,800 Wh, and a full charge takes about 10 hours on the included charger. This is the RS Jet, not the larger Inmotion RS, which Voro sells as a separate model.
Why we like it
- ✓ 330 lb max rider weight
- ✓ 72V, two motors
- ✓ 48.5 mph in our test
- ✓ Adjustable deck height
- ✓ Full hydraulic brakes
Keep in mind
- − Finicky folding latch
- − About 10 hour charge
Key specs

- Motors:2 x 1,200W, 4,600W peak
- Battery:72V, 1,800 Wh
- Top speed:48.5 mph (tested)
- Weight:102 lb
- Water rating:IP56
Highest standing payload:Hiley Tiger King RS
Check latest price →Direct from Hiley
Hiley publishes a 350 lb payload capacity for the Tiger King RS. That is the highest rating on a standing scooter in this guide, and it gives a 300 lb load a 50 lb margin where the 330 lb scooters give 30.
We ran it against its sibling, the Tiger Supra, with a rider of about 210 lb in gear. At a fast pace in the high 30s to low 40s mph it covered about 32 miles before the battery was empty, and it still held speeds in the high 20s near the end. Hiley’s range claim of up to 80 miles comes from a 150 lb rider at 15 mph in Eco mode, so we would treat that number as a ceiling.
It runs a 72V system with two 2,300W hub motors and four piston NUTT hydraulic brakes. The hydraulic suspension is adjustable at both ends, and the 11 inch tubeless tires are self-sealing. Hiley rates it IPX7 and lists it at 95 lb. The price shown is the standard 31.5Ah version. Our test unit had the 35Ah Samsung pack, which costs more. We did not score it, and our test was a head to head comparison, not a full review.
Why we like it
- ✓ 350 lb payload capacity
- ✓ 72V, two 2,300W motors
- ✓ About 32 mi at speed
- ✓ 4 piston hydraulic brakes
- ✓ IPX7
Keep in mind
- − 95 lb
- − Tested with 35Ah pack
Key specs
- Max load:350 lb
- Motors:2 x 2,300W
- Battery:72V 31.5Ah
- Top speed:56 mph (claimed)
- Weight:95 lb
- Water rating:IPX7
Best commuter:VMAX New VX4
Check latest price →Direct from VMAX
The New VX4 is our commuter pick for heavy riders. It is rated for a 330 lb maximum payload and weighs 65.9 lb, a little over half the weight of the Segway GT3 Pro. The footboard is 27 inches long and 8.5 inches wide, which leaves room to move your feet on a long ride.
It makes that rating work with one motor that peaks at 2,800W. In our review it reached 36.5 mph and got to 15 mph in 3.3 seconds. Range in our test was 20.9 miles with a heavier rider and up to 27 miles with a lighter one. VMAX claims 53 or 68 miles depending on the battery, measured with a 165 lb rider in Eco mode.
The front fork is oil damped with adjustable preload, and the rear uses an elastomer spring. Braking is a front drum, a rear disc and motor regen. It is rated IPX6 and has turn signals and a color display. The price shown is the 811 Wh version, and the 1,056 Wh pack costs more. We do not know which of the two packs was on our test scooter, so treat our range numbers as a guide.
Why we like it
- ✓ 330 lb max payload
- ✓ 65.9 lb
- ✓ 36.5 mph in our test
- ✓ 27 in footboard
- ✓ IPX6
Keep in mind
- − One motor
- − Drum brake up front
Key specs
- Max load:330 lb
- Motor:2,800W peak
- Battery:52V, 811 Wh
- Top speed:36.5 mph (tested)
- Weight:65.9 lb
- Footboard:27.2 x 8.5 in
Cheapest dual motor:Gotrax GX2
Check latest price →Direct from Gotrax
The GX2 is the least expensive dual motor scooter on this list. Like the GX3, it has a 300 lb total weight limit, so we would keep it to loads of about 250 lb or less.
We tested it at 35.6 mph, just over the 35 mph claim, and it went 24.7 miles on a charge against a 40 mile claim. In practice two 800W motors give it far better hill speed than a single motor scooter at this price, and our review praised the suspension and the brakes.
The battery is 48V 20Ah, or 960 Wh, and the scooter weighs 76 lb. Our review noted that it is a little heavier than its rivals and that park mode cannot be switched off. Gotrax backs it for two years. If your total load is closer to 300 lb, spend more for a 330 lb rating.
Why we like it
- ✓ Two 800W motors
- ✓ 35.6 mph in our test
- ✓ 24.7 mi tested range
- ✓ 960 Wh battery
- ✓ 2 year warranty
Keep in mind
- − 300 lb total limit
- − 76 lb
Key specs
- Max load:300 lb total
- Motors:2 x 800W
- Battery:48V 20Ah, 960 Wh
- Top speed:35.6 mph (tested)
- Weight:76 lb
- Warranty:2 years
Best budget:VMAX VX2 Extreme
Check latest price →Direct from VMAX
The VX2 Extreme is the cheapest scooter here with a 330 lb rating, and it is also the lightest at about 45 lb. VMAX says it raised the maximum load to 330 lb for this model. A 500W motor peaks at 1,600W.
We tested the VX2 Extreme with the 792 Wh GT battery. It reached 26.3 mph against a 25 mph claim, went 28.9 miles in its fastest mode and climbed the steepest hill we could find from a standing start. The power comes on hard enough that our tester lifted the front wheel twice without meaning to, so keep your weight forward when you launch.
VMAX no longer lists the GT battery. The two versions on sale use the same motor with a 500 Wh pack rated for 28 miles or a 624 Wh pack rated for 34 miles, so expect less range than we measured. There is no suspension, and braking is a front drum plus rear regen, with no disc. For a 300 lb load on rough streets we would step up to the New VX4. For a lighter load on smooth pavement, this is the budget pick.
Why we like it
- ✓ 330 lb max payload
- ✓ About 45 lb
- ✓ 26.3 mph in our test
- ✓ 1,600W peak
- ✓ IPX6
Keep in mind
- − No suspension
- − Tested GT pack is gone
Key specs
- Max load:330 lb
- Motor:500W, 1,600W peak
- Battery:500 or 624 Wh
- Top speed:26.3 mph (tested)
- Weight:45.2 to 46.7 lb
- Water rating:IPX6
Best seated:EMOVE RoadRunner Pro V2
Check latest price →Sold by Voro Motors
The EMOVE RoadRunner Pro V2 is the pick for riders who would rather sit, and it has the highest load figure in this guide. Voro Motors lists a max rider load of 352 lb as ideal and up to 420 lb as the ceiling. It scored a perfect 10 in our test.
We tested the 72V 60Ah version with a 220 lb rider. It went about 55 miles at 35 to 40 mph, reached 55 mph on GPS and climbed our quarter mile hill in 25.66 seconds, still gaining speed at the top. The seat is 29 inches off the ground, and the memory foam stayed comfortable on rides of about two hours. Hydraulic brakes with 203 mm rotors and suspension at both ends handle the weight.
Voro sells it as a seated scooter. In practice it rides like a small electric motorcycle. It weighed 153.74 lb on our scale, and a full charge takes about 10 hours. Check your local rules before you ride it on the street, because many places treat a machine this fast as a moped or motorcycle. On October 12, Voro had the black 40Ah version in stock and the 60Ah version we tested was sold out, so check which battery is in your cart.
Why we like it
- ✓ 352 lb max rider load
- ✓ RG Score 10
- ✓ 55 mi tested at speed
- ✓ 29 in seat height
- ✓ 203 mm hydraulic brakes
Keep in mind
- − 153.74 lb (60Ah)
- − 60Ah sold out on Oct 12
Key specs
- Max load:352 lb
- Motors:2 x 2,000W, 8,400W peak
- Battery:72V 40Ah or 60Ah
- Top speed:55 mph (tested)
- Weight:153.74 lb (60Ah, tested)
- Seat height:29 in
How We Picked: Tested or Researched
To make this list, a scooter needed a brand-published max load of at least 300 lb. It also needed a record in our Ride Finder database and a working link to a store that had it in stock on October 12. We read the load number off the brand’s own product page for every pick. Where our database and the brand disagreed, the brand’s current page won.
Nine of the ten have RiderGuide test data. The NAVEE XT5 Pro (9.7) and the EMOVE RoadRunner Pro V2 (10) went through our current scored protocol. Seven more were tested for earlier reviews that did not carry an RG score: the Segway GT3 Pro, Gotrax GX3, Gotrax GX2, Inmotion RS Jet, Hiley Tiger King RS, VMAX New VX4 and VMAX VX2 Extreme. Their cards say Tested and quote the numbers we measured. The Segway GT3 is researched from Segway’s spec sheet, and we have not ridden it.
Three of those tests used a different battery than the one our price shows. We tested the VMAX VX2 Extreme with the 792 Wh GT pack, which VMAX no longer lists. We tested the Hiley Tiger King RS with the 35Ah Samsung pack, and the price shown is the 31.5Ah version. We tested the EMOVE RoadRunner Pro V2 with the 60Ah pack, which was sold out on October 12. Each card spells this out.
This guide replaces two older RiderGuide lists for heavier riders. We dropped anything rated under 300 lb or out of stock, along with scooters we could no longer link to a store that sells them. For the wider field, see our best electric scooters, and if speed is the goal, the fastest electric scooters we have tested.
How to Choose an Electric Scooter as a Heavy Rider
These are the six checks we would run before buying. If you already know your budget, our best electric scooters by budget guide sorts the wider field by price, and our best electric scooters by category guide sorts it by use.
- Max load with margin: Add up rider, gear and cargo, then compare the total to the brand’s published limit. We would aim to use no more than about 85 percent of the rating if your rides include hills. That is our planning number, not a brand rule.
- Two motors for hills: A single motor scooter slows first on a climb. If your total load is over 250 lb and your route has grades, pick a dual motor scooter such as the GT3 Pro, RS Jet, Tiger King RS or GX3.
- Brakes that match the mass: Hydraulic discs take less lever effort than cable discs or drums for the same stop. The GT3 Pro, RS Jet, Tiger King RS, GX3 and EMOVE RoadRunner Pro V2 have them. The XT5 Pro uses mechanical discs, and both VMAX scooters use a front drum.
- Suspension you can adjust: A heavy load uses up suspension travel before the first bump. Adjustable preload or damping lets you set the scooter up for your weight. The GT3 Pro, GX3, Tiger King RS and New VX4 all offer adjustment, and the VX2 Extreme has no suspension at all.
- Deck and bar fit: Bigger riders need room. The New VX4 footboard is 27 inches long, the XT5 Pro deck is 24 inches with its kicktail, and Segway rates both GT3 scooters for riders up to 6 ft 6 in. Our RS Jet review found the stem short for riders over 6 ft 2 in.
- Scooter weight you can live with: Most of the high ratings here come with heavy scooters. The picks here run from about 45 lb to 154 lb, and five of them weigh 90 lb or more. Plan for ground floor storage or a ramp.
Electric Scooters for Heavy Adults: FAQs
What is the best electric scooter for heavy adults?
The Segway GT3 Pro is our top pick. It is rated for a 330 lb payload, has two motors with 7,000W of combined peak power and went about 45 miles in our test with a 190 lb rider. For less money, the NAVEE XT5 Pro has the same 330 lb rating and scored 9.7 in our test.
What is the best electric scooter for adults over 250 lbs?
Choose a scooter rated for 330 lb or more so you keep a margin, and choose two motors if you ride hills. Our picks are the Segway GT3 Pro, the Inmotion RS Jet and the Hiley Tiger King RS. On flat routes, the VMAX New VX4 and NAVEE XT5 Pro are rated for 330 lb with one motor.
What is the best electric scooter for a 300 lb rider?
Skip anything rated for exactly 300 lb, because your gear will put you over. The Segway GT3 Pro, rated for 330 lb, is our pick. The Hiley Tiger King RS is rated for 350 lb, and the seated EMOVE RoadRunner Pro V2 is rated for a 352 lb rider load.
Which electric scooter is best for a 200 lb adult?
At 200 lb every scooter on this list has room to spare, so buy on price and use. The VMAX VX2 Extreme is the budget pick, the NAVEE XT5 Pro is the best value we have scored and the Gotrax GX2 is the cheapest dual motor option. Our best electric scooters list covers lighter models too.
What does max load mean on an electric scooter?
It is the most weight the maker says the scooter should carry, counting the rider and everything the rider brings. Some brands call it payload, max rider weight or total weight limit. It is a limit, not a performance promise. Range, braking and hill speed all get worse as you approach it.
Do heavier riders get less range?
Yes. Brands measure range with light riders at low speed. Segway and VMAX use a 165 lb load, and Hiley uses a 150 lb rider at 15 mph. In our tests with 190 to 220 lb riders at normal riding speeds, these scooters covered between a third and three quarters of the headline claim. The NAVEE XT5 Pro, ridden flat out, covered 27 percent.
Is there an electric scooter rated for more than 330 lb?
Two on this list. Hiley rates the Tiger King RS for a 350 lb payload, and Voro Motors lists a 352 lb max rider load for the seated EMOVE RoadRunner Pro V2, with up to 420 lb listed as the ceiling. For more seated options, see our best seated electric scooters.
Can I ride a scooter if I am over the weight limit?
We would not. The published limit is the load the brand stands behind for the frame, the folding latch and the brakes. Past it, stopping distances grow and the scooter has less in reserve on hills. Buy a scooter with a higher rating instead.
Final Thoughts
If you want one scooter for a heavy load, buy the Segway GT3 Pro. The NAVEE XT5 Pro is the best value we have scored. For two motors at a lower price we would take the Inmotion RS Jet or the Gotrax GX3, and the Hiley Tiger King RS has the highest rating on a standing scooter. Riders who would rather sit should look at the EMOVE RoadRunner Pro V2, and riders on a budget should start with the VMAX VX2 Extreme.
We will add RG scores as these scooters come back through our current test, and the Segway GT3 is next on the list to ride. Every spec here is in our Ride Finder, and how we test is published in full. If you ride dirt as well as pavement, see our best off-road electric scooters.

It is rated for a 330 lb payload, has two motors with 7,000W of combined peak power and went about 45 miles in our test with a 190 lb rider. For less money, the NAVEE XT5 Pro has the same 330 lb rating and scored 9.7 in our test.”}},{“@type”:”Question”,”name”:”What is the best electric scooter for adults over 250 lbs?”,”acceptedAnswer”:{“@type”:”Answer”,”text”:”Choose a scooter rated for 330 lb or more so you keep a margin, and choose two motors if you ride hills. Our picks are the Segway GT3 Pro, the Inmotion RS Jet and the Hiley Tiger King RS. On flat routes, the VMAX New VX4 and NAVEE XT5 Pro are rated for 330 lb with one motor.”}},{“@type”:”Question”,”name”:”What is the best electric scooter for a 300 lb rider?”,”acceptedAnswer”:{“@type”:”Answer”,”text”:”Skip anything rated for exactly 300 lb, because your gear will put you over. The Segway GT3 Pro, rated for 330 lb, is our pick. The Hiley Tiger King RS is rated for 350 lb, and the seated EMOVE RoadRunner Pro V2 is rated for a 352 lb rider load.”}},{“@type”:”Question”,”name”:”Which electric scooter is best for a 200 lb adult?”,”acceptedAnswer”:{“@type”:”Answer”,”text”:”At 200 lb every scooter on this list has room to spare, so buy on price and use. The VMAX VX2 Extreme is the budget pick, the NAVEE XT5 Pro is the best value we have scored and the Gotrax GX2 is the cheapest dual motor option. Our best electric scooters list covers lighter models too.”}},{“@type”:”Question”,”name”:”What does max load mean on an electric scooter?”,”acceptedAnswer”:{“@type”:”Answer”,”text”:”It is the most weight the maker says the scooter should carry, counting the rider and everything the rider brings. Some brands call it payload, max rider weight or total weight limit. It is a limit, not a performance promise. Range, braking and hill speed all get worse as you approach it.”}},{“@type”:”Question”,”name”:”Do heavier riders get less range?”,”acceptedAnswer”:{“@type”:”Answer”,”text”:”Yes. Brands measure range with light riders at low speed. Segway and VMAX use a 165 lb load, and Hiley uses a 150 lb rider at 15 mph. In our tests with 190 to 220 lb riders at normal riding speeds, these scooters covered between a third and three quarters of the headline claim. The NAVEE XT5 Pro, ridden flat out, covered 27 percent.”}},{“@type”:”Question”,”name”:”Is there an electric scooter rated for more than 330 lb?”,”acceptedAnswer”:{“@type”:”Answer”,”text”:”Two on this list. Hiley rates the Tiger King RS for a 350 lb payload, and Voro Motors lists a 352 lb max rider load for the seated EMOVE RoadRunner Pro V2, with up to 420 lb listed as the ceiling. For more seated options, see our best seated electric scooters.”}},{“@type”:”Question”,”name”:”Can I ride a scooter if I am over the weight limit?”,”acceptedAnswer”:{“@type”:”Answer”,”text”:”We would not. The published limit is the load the brand stands behind for the frame, the folding latch and the brakes. Past it, stopping distances grow and the scooter has less in reserve on hills. Buy a scooter with a higher rating instead.”}}]}
