Multi -layered CuO/SiO2 core–shell catalyst was fabricated for electrocatalytic CO2 reduction, by which the Faraday efficiency for n-propanol production could reach 13.3% at −1.65 V in a flow cell, with a partial current density of 94.0 mA cm−2.
